Thank you for your consideration to serve as a Team Leader for the Gospel 250 project, celebrating God’s faithfulness to America for 250 years. Here is a brief description of this important role. If you feel you are qualified and could serve as a State Team Leader, please register for Gospel 250 and check the box that you would like to be a state team leader.
We are looking for evangelistic team leaders from each US state to lead a team of evangelists in sharing the gospel message during the events of America’s 250th Birthday in their state.
Requirements
- Be member in good standing at your local church. Please send a written recommendation from your pastor or elder through our Contact Form.
- Have experience sharing the gospel with a stranger. Use of approaches taught by Living Waters (Way of the Master, Ambassadors’ Academy or Biblical School of Evangelism), Answers in Genesis (Gospel Reset), Gospel Equip, Tomorrow’s Forefathers (Testify Training Camp, Witnessing Weekend), Sports Fan Outreach (George Whitefield Preaching Program), Hearts for the Lost, or other similar teaching. Please share your training and experience.
- Have led an evangelism team from your church or in your community and have the ability to coach or encourage your team members.
- Be an example for others in interacting with team members and sharing the gospel with unbelievers, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
- Affirm our Statement of Faith.
Responsibilities
- Identify gospel opportunities and plan activities for your team in your local state. These could be festivals, fairs, parades, or other public events. Keep up with what is happening within your state their your states America 250 Commission. (visit America 250 site to find your state commission)
- Pray for and with your team continuously (1 Thessalonians 5:17) through planning, execution, and completion of the outreach events.
- Contact volunteers from your state and recruit team members to participate.
- Communicate with your team members so they are always informed of the plans, dates, and expected activities.
- Ensure tracts are purchased and all team members have adequate materials to give or start gospel conversations with.
- Attend monthly team leader calls with Gospel250. Report plans and activities as well as receiving updates and sharing with your team members.
- Collaborate with other team leaders to learn and share from each other.
- Ensure you or at least one representative from your state is available to attend the national celebration on the National Mall or or around July 4, 2026.
