We need leaders to help us reach America with the gospel.
If you have any experience leading others from your church or community in sharing the gospel, please look over the information included here and prayerfully consider serving as a leader for your state.
You will be asked to send a reference from your pastor or elder in your church and affirm our Statement of Faith.
As a leader we will try to support you in your efforts with a monthly call to be sure everything operates smoothly and connect you with other state leaders so we can build upon each other’s experience. We will also support you with prayer for God to sustain you and prayer for your team and its efforts. Please read the leader job description to read the requirements and responsibilities.
Before registering as a leader, please review the list of current leaders. If your state is marked as “open” or “pending” feel free to register and apply to be a leader for your state. When you click the link for registration below, be sure to check the box “I would like to be considered for a leader role in my state.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How will I get connected to team members from my state?
A: Once you are registered and confirmed as the state leader for a particular state you will receive an email for each volunteer who registers in your state.
Q: How do I get registered and confirmed as the state leader?
A: Click the Leader Registration link above to start the process. If another leader has not already been identified the process will begin. You will not be confirmed until you have sent a letter of recommendation from the pastor in your church. Instructions will be emailed to you once you have registered.
Q: How will the volunteers be vetted to participate?
A: At registration each volunteer must review and agree to the statement of faith. These statements are designed to affirm the core tenets of the Christian faith to exclude those do not believe or believe falsely. It is designed to broadly encompass many denominations within the church, but exclude those who deny its core. If you find a volunteer who does not believe or affirm these things, please talk to them directly, and contact me if necessary. Always be gracious but direct if you suspect a volunteer who does not meet these expectations.
Q: What do I do once I receive the registration from a volunteer?
A: Please make contact with them within a week if at all possible. Get to know them a little and let them know what to expect with you as leader and what may be happening in your state. Please pray with them and continue to pray for them as well.
Q: What happens if a volunteer goes rogue or is causing problems?
A: Once we finalize the document, we will share a basic code of conduct. You will be given a copy of this so you can be familiar with it and it will be given to each volunteer to help guide our expectations.
Q: Will we use tracts to share the gospel?
A: Yes, we will. We will arrange for 5000 America 250 gospel tracts from Living Waters as a basic supply. You will need to pay for shipping and handling. We are also exploring a way to give out bibles too.
Q: Can I give out other tracts besides the America 250 tracts?
A: Yes, what you decide to give or distribute above and beyond the basic 5000 is up to you and your team. Please ensure the tracts and the messaging are also aligned with the statement of faith. Many faithful tracts are available from Living Waters, Answers in Genesis, Gospel Tract Planet, One Million Tracts and others.
Q: Will the team members be experienced in evangelism and sharing the gospel?
A: Yes, they should be. However, there may be a wide range of experience from your team members. We will be providing a few opportunities for you and your team to participate in an online team call to train and inspire in the basic work of evangelism. If you would like to explore other options to train your team members, please contact Tony Ramsek at Gospel Equip to advise on options.
Q: What can I expect to learn as a leader for my state?
A: We recognize that state leaders will have a range of experience as well. We plan to provide similar session to provide guidance in leading and coaching an evangelism team. These sessions will be led by Tony Ramsek at Gospel Equip.
